Wildlife Rehabilitation Internship
Ojai Raptor Center’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Internship is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of wildlife care—especially during baby season, when we receive hundreds of orphaned and injured baby raptors in need of expert care. As an intern, you’ll work closely with our staff veterinarian and experienced animal care technicians, assisting in the rehabilitation of hawks, owls, falcons, and other birds of prey.
You’ll gain valuable skills in animal husbandry, nutrition, flight conditioning, and medical care, with opportunities to assist in veterinary procedures and treatments. This internship offers real-world experience in wildlife rehabilitation, providing you with the knowledge and skills essential for a future career in animal care, conservation, or veterinary medicine.
This unpaid full- or part-time internship is designed for applicants 18 years and older who are interested in wildlife rehabilitation, animal care, wildlife conservation, or other related fields.
Internship sessions begin March 1st, 2025 and run through September. Please read the attached description and application instructions carefully.
